This is NOT How You Catch an Electric Eel (Electrophorus electricus) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCISeCZAFC8
Now this next clip went viral on the internet, and it was titled "This is Not How You Catch an Electric Eel".
Now that was a shocking fishing moment. So the story that accompanies this clip is that this guy is trying to catch an electric eel and gets stung. Which is a funny idea, but is not what actually happened.
Now what it looks like this man is doing is called electro fishing. Notice the electric cable wrapped around his pole. Basically electro fishing is a technique where fish are stunned with an electric current so that they can easily be pulled out of the water, usually with a net.
But unfortunately, this guy seems to be using his bare hands instead of a net, and even MORE unfortunately, he seems to forget to get back OUT of the water before he grabs the electric pole.

Blast Fishing in Lebanon
Fishing with Dynamite in Lebanon Long Version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPlVDQ6UfVk&t
Blast fishing or dynamite fishing is the practice of using explosives to kill or stun fish so that they can easily be netted from the water.
In this clip, we see a particularly unusual style of blast fishing in the Mediterranean Sea, just off the coast of Lebanon. These poachers have set up a large LED light on the starboard side of their boat. Then one of the young men throws a lit explosive into the water. When the explosive detonates, the frightened fish all jump toward the LED light, for some reason believing this to be protection. The poachers easily fill their boat.
Besides just being downright unsportsmanlike, the practice of blast fishing does terrible damage to the natural habitat of the fish. Therefore it is illegal in many countries, including Lebanon.

15 Minute Fishing
Thousands of fishermen empty lake in minutes - Human Planet: Deserts, preview - BBC One https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Tc6ywqoL6o
In Mali, a country in Western Africa, there is a sacred lake in the village of Bamba. Despite the fact that the Bamba Lake contains fish, and despite the fact that food is often scarce in the desolate African countryside, no one is allowed to fish in the Bamba lake. That is, except for ONE 15 minute period every year.
Yes, only once each year at Bamba Lake, a sacred fishing ritual is held, usually in May. During the ritual, called the Antogo Fishing Ritual, locals are allowed to fish all they want, but ONLY for 15 minutes.
Before the Antogo fishing ritual, local men collect along the banks of the lake with fishing baskets in hand, some reciting incantations.
Then a bell sounds, a gunshot rings out, and fishing is in season for the next 15 minutes. The men charge into the lake and quickly catch as many fish as they can to bring home to their starving families. Some even hold fish in their mouths as they struggle to gather more.
15 minutes later, another gunshot rings out, and fishing in Bamba Lake is now over for the year. The Antogo fishing ritual has ended and the men return home to their families with the days catch.
