After traveling the world I only see Swedish and scandanavian girls wearing sweatpants or pajamas everywhere. French girls almost always dress eloquently.

Black colour is very popular colour in cold countries because it holds warmth, whereas in warm countries white or light colours are great option.

I live in Sweden. All I wear is black and sometimes white and in my purse I carry a wallet, headphones, lip balm, phone and sometimes gloves in winter and a hair brush. Super simple, super easy to get out of the house fast.

Where did you get that white long sleeve shirt from? I love it

I think the scandinavian/Swedish style represented in this video is very inaccurate. From what I’ve seen, it’s mainly jeans for whatever occasion and it doesn’t matter whether they are black, dark, light, ripped or cropped, and basically everything else is just depending on what’s trending and what the people in your close environment are wearing. I don’t know a single person in my city who dresses like Jenny, and maybe that’s strengthening what I said about wearing what your friends wear, but also I think Jenny made this video from her perspective and not really speaking for the general public

Im a swede, and I definitely want to look bold and edgy instead of girly. I feel unconfortable dressing very feminine. Also, im a vegan so fur is a big no. And besides, Jenny snygga örhängen! :) var är de ifrån?
Josephine Winter (4 months ago)
yeah in britain, anything goes, but women prefer to carry only their phone, with stuff like cards in the case, old people have handbags but young women just their phone. What people wear nonstop is sports gear, not athleisure, often serious sports gear, other times old worn out with holes in cheap stuff, but always, fat, thin, exercising, never, always, tracksuits, lyrcra etc
yasashii89 (4 months ago)
French style is nicer

so where was this recorded? where do you both live now then?

Real fur is still very popular in the former Soviet Union. I am writing this from former Soviet Central Asia.

Swedes are lazy as hell...
Etheric (5 months ago)
Well i recently moved to sweden, i saw directly the difference. It is a bit hard for me to find clothes in sweden. Really colorful, not much classic, really new and teenager style. It's hard sometimes to find something simple. Sometimes some clothes are too much provocative. Put its my opinion xD I will keep buying in France :)
Scarlett Bathory (5 months ago)
this makes me so happy. you are both so cool
Defania Isabel (5 months ago)
1:45 Jenny please, where is the blazer from?
Quebecusa (5 months ago)
Me too! I hope that real fur is disappearing ! Forever! We now have so many wonderful textiles to work with and we do not need the poor animal's fur to warm ourselves. Faux fur is perfect! We are not cavemen anymore!!!! It is so much more respectful of Life.
Rashone (5 months ago)
Love BOTH styles. It's so sad that here in the States, there seems to be no style and women wear clothing to work that we would once wear to clean out the attic. There is something classy about making an effort with how you dress...even if it is very, vary casual. Young American women dress provocatively, as if the most important thing is to draw attention to their breasts and tush. NOT GOOD TASTE!

I’m french and once on seaside it was oh so cold and the only thing I had was sandals and of course 🧦 socks. I was so freezed that I put sandals AND socks 😱🤫🤭 I felt so nice and warm that was the only thing that matters 😉😂 but if not in extreme need won’t do it again 😆

I can't imagine doing any kind of serious business in anything but a suit! In New York, we take our work attire very seriously.

I was thinking about the difference in how The Indian dress themselves and then the other countries, India certainly has a lot of variety

From Brazil: listening to you, I thought about how the climate influences the color choices. I live in Brazil and here nature is very exuberant. You two have experienced a hot summer like never before in Europe this year. In the hottest days have you been able to wear only dark colors? Here, in formal work environment we also use neutral colors, but on weekends, or causal occasions, colors invade us. In the last three or four years we have had a fashion movement valuing our nature. A good example of this, in my opinion, is Ariana Barra's work. You can check it in www. adrianabarra.com.br. I use to wear plain colors than so much in one same print. But I think it's beautiful!!
ElinT13 (6 months ago)
Thanks for the video (and also Justine's)! Two things stuck in my mind: I find socks and sandals are absolutely gruesome - sorry! ;-) And Justine said that she does not count neutral colors. In my world, there are no "neutrals" that do not count. Very interesting to hear how other people conceive things.

Rebecca M (6 months ago)
Thank you fordoing this video, it was very interesting. I come from an area of the United States that has a lot of descendants of Scandinavian immigrants, people who immigrated in the 1800's. The style is very conservative and sometimes, outdated. It is interesting to hear that the Swedish women dress in very modern and trendy styles.
Valhalla (6 months ago)
I'd like to play that for germany: 1) Work outfit: either a suit, or a blazer, but rarely ever with heels. Mostly flat men's shoes (both on men and women) or flat ankle boots. 2) german style in three words: practical, playful, a bit unisex 3) never be caught dead in: either real snake-skin/croco-skin bags or shoes or real furr 4) colour scheme: jeans + every colour on the planet, including neon. 5) never leave the house without: jacket, just in case it rains. If you are german and disagree, leave me a comment. If you are from a different country, leave your list pls.

I live in Copenhagen and I can tell that Scaninavians don t have a flair for fashion. YES, for minimalsim, design (objects, furniture) sometimes outdoor garments, but that s it. Wearing black is just..so sad

For me personally French fashion every time, especially the little black dress, wow! Add gorgeous accessories of your personal choice, cannot go wrong! Though love sunglasses 🕶 x 🌍 x

Yeah, I'm with Justine regarding socks and sandals. Sorry, Jenny, I love you and you're stylish as hell, but I can't bring myself to reconsider socks with sandals. They're what awfully dressed old men wear.

You two are both so sweet in your own ways and both videos were lots of fun.

Lol im very French then😀

I think this was a fun and interesting video - really enjoyed it. However, I don't totally agree that we do not have formal wear in Scandinavia. Sure, we have a more casual workplace in general compared to other countries, but there are definitely places where you have to wear a suit, and also where you have casual fridays. For instance, if you walk around Regeringsgatan in Stockholm during a work day, you will see plenty of suits!
Lucas Gebrim (6 months ago)
I agree, I live in Gothenburg now and I can definitely see a lot of people in suits and formal clothing

WHAAAAAAAT! People definitely don't have to wear suits in Sweden, but you see people wearing a suit commonly in Sweden! I even see people wearing suits to clubs in Sweden.
Camille (8 months ago)
I've been seeing a lot of "French style" videos lately, and everytime, I just think it's so narrowed down and highly, highly stereotypical and quite far from the truth. True, we tend to not love things that are considered tacky like wearing many different prints that would clash together, but if they fit with each other we would. And true, socks and sandals aren't common, unless you're old and live in the countryside, but that's also because we wear appropriate shoes for the weather. If we pull out the sandals, it means our toes won't get cold anyway. The effortless thing but we actually take a long time to get ready is not true either. If we look effortless, it's really because we didn't try very hard (perhaps a touch of mascara) and it didn't take us long, but if we do spend time getting ready, we want it to show. We do wear a lot of sneakers, but not at work, that's true, mainly if you work in more formal offices, like in banks, large companies or in law. But it really depends on your industry, your style, and also, your rank. A junior (who's not in a finance/law) is not expected to wear a full suit. Also, in some banks, that are small and won't cater to really rich people, bankers will wear whatever they want, as long as it's appropriate. The only things I would say are true compared to places like Australia, England or the US, is that we do like to look nice, whatever our definition is, we dress appropriately for the weather (e.g. no slinky dress and strappy sandals in the middle of winter), if we can afford it, we will buy more expensive and better quality items and we don't favour tacky or vulgar things, like clothing that our overly revealing once we're over 25 really.

Seriously, I'm from Paris and I feel like french girls have no style whatsoever. Now everybody wears sneakers... and french being boring people, nobody wears colors. It's all grey, black, night blue.... Almost every time I notice a girl's style, she's asian.... mainly Korean and Japanese. People have a lot more style and are a lot more daring in London. Paris has become dull.

Loved these 2 videos. I have one parent of Scandinavian descent and one parent of French descent. Most of my habits leaned towards the French side, according to these videos, EXCEPT -- I hate wearing sandals without socks. Just seems so unclean to go without socks in anything but beach flip flops. Yeay for my one link to the Nords! Oh, and I love soft beiges and greys. Okay -- 2 things. :-)

Hello Ladies, Jenny, I am sorry to say that here in Montreal, Canada, real fur is still sadly very much present :(
MoniqueElise1 (8 months ago)
Very interesting. I work in Paris right now and I find that my fellow employees are super casual. Almost all the women wear sneakers every day. I tend to dress up a little more and I always get comments like ‘wow where are you going?’. Maybe it’s just my company? I meet with a lot of clients too though, and they also seem pretty casual... Maybe it’s your industry. Since you are in fashion, that is the expectation. For example, I hear that everyone at Chanel has to dress up everyday.
Tessa Ationne (8 months ago)
About the french style, I do feel it depends where in France too. I live in the south of France for 6 years now and I find it way more casual at work in Toulouse than in Paris. Much more natural make up or embrace nude skin than red lips or eyeliner. I find that being a Parisian woman is more maintenance than being a Toulouse woman!
Lina P (8 months ago)
real fur will probably not disappear in places like Russia and really cold countries...

Why not just wear what you like, what makes you happy?  I love bright colour, don't care what anybody says or thinks about it.

Such a good collab! 🔝🔝🔝 Love both styles, it was really interesting to see the similarities and the differences between the two!
CARA (8 months ago)
Idk how it is in Sweden, but in Denmark, I rarely see anyone with lipstick and there is really no reason to wear sunglasses for most of the year. We only get around 3 weeks of actual summer, so... As a fellow Scandinavian woman, a thing that I would never leave the house without, besides my wallet, keys etc. would be a really moisturizing chapstick. It gets really cold here, even in the summer so your lips can easily get dry and crackly.
Stripes Iced (8 months ago)
The french chick looks like she goes out every day for dinner or attend a random unplanned night out with her girls. The scandi lady looks like she stays at home after work or eats lunch in the cafeteria. She can't go out in public like that. Her look only works in Instagram. Not facebook definitely. Style not hot in 5 years. Ask a 5 y/o kid. Not a gen Z. Ask a gen alpha what they think.
Maria Pia (8 months ago)
I love this! I adore these two styles. Sun different concepts! Thank you

There is a trend in the state near me in the US to pick a chroma and stick with it. In other words, black and white go together but they are never paired with beige.

Well, concerning the work style - there are plenty of suitwearing employees in Sweden. Try walking around near Östermalm in Stockholm during lunch hours, haha. Financial people, business people, etc. But yes, probably generally less formal for many office workers.

Sanna K (9 months ago)
I don't feel that the swedish side is very accurate, but then I guess this is just from Jennys personal point of view and it might differ from other swedes. Neither me nor my friends would describe Swedish style like her, her style I wouldn't say is a good representation of a common swede on the street/work/whatever, but it might be a very accurate description of herself, her own style and thoughts around fashion (what she likes and not what common (and fashionable) swedes wear). Also I don't think there's many swedes walking around with socks in sandals unless they're middle aged men. :(
Gooblyful (9 months ago)
Living in Australia, the moment you wear a blazer everyone thinks you look French. having lived in Paris for half a year, I know there's a lot more to it than that 😂😂 I for one know I wear outfits that are too colourful and funky for the honour of European-style to be bestowed upon me 😂😂

Awesome collab :) however @Justine, fur is still very much on trend in Italy (especially Milan)... in winter you spot most women with real fur coats. No questions about Russia too, it's pretty much considered as a basic since it's very warm, sometimes even warmer than any synthetic coat

Having seen disagreeing comments from Norway and Finland, I'd say here in Denmark it's definitely closer to what you said about Sweden. :) And sometimes I think this 'sporty chic' is getting a bit too much here, when you see everyone in their jogging pants on the street. I've also seen TV presenter wearing silk blouse and track pants on TV. 🙄
