I have been using a silk pillowcase for about two weeks and I have noticed a big difference in my skin. I was getting a line ever night under my eyes and bow it is gone and my skin doesn't feel as dry. I got mine off amazon
YayOrNayNicole (2 months ago)
Hi Jenny, That is fantastic! I think silk pillowcases make SUCH a huge difference. I am so glad you are having great results. I've purchased them off of Amazon in the past too. Thanks so much for watching! =) Nicole

It's 25 momme, not milometer, lol.

Hi I ordered a Branche Silk Pillocase Queen that now sells for $95 However, just brought 2 silk pillowcases $26 each along with Sleep Mask from "Alaska Bear" weight 19 Mulberry Silk Is this real silk or should I return to Amazon? I do not want them woven with cotton as cheap Can you help me if I should return them? If yes, what brand should I get? Deborah
Marian B (5 months ago)
Deborah Paddison $95 seems really pricey. I got mine for 49.99 for 30 momme which is superb! Good thing it was on sale

For the $9 were there 2 ??

This is a veryy late comment, but I have very fine and thin, frizzy hair. I also have acne prone skin. I noticed that you used satin and silk for the pillowcases, so I was wondering which of those two would benefit me the most...or are they both the same and have the same benefits? I want to get one from Amazon, btw!
Marian B (5 months ago)
I got mine from fisher’s finery good thing it was on sale. I bought the 30momme which is the highest.
Navi (9 months ago)
thank you so much! you helped out a lot :)
YayOrNayNicole (9 months ago)
Navi Warriach Hi Navi, I would highly recommend silk over satin. Satin is usually made of nylon or polyester which is far less breathable. Silk is very breathable which is far better for your skin. I have a couple new videos about silk pillow cases where I go in tomorrow detail and review a few other brands. If you look at my silk pillow case playlist you should be able to find them. I hope that helps! 😃

Nicole I could not agree any more as silk pillows and sheets is remarkable on the skin. Your skin and body breathe. Satin has remarkable appearance too but has formaldehyde in it and I would sweat. I have sensitive skin also so staying with mulberry charmeuse silk sheets and pillows. One goes to sleep like a baby and wrapped up in a cocoon of silk.

YayOrNayNicole What a thoughtful thing to do Nicole and please tell your Mom her daughter is a Goddess!! I wish people were more open or aware of how amazing silk is. I've been trying to find more stylish silk clothing too for men but not much around. I googled of course and searched amazon and ebay. Any suggestions? Yeah when you sleep in silk sheets it feels like a dozen masseuses are massaging your body all at once.
YayOrNayNicole (9 months ago)
I gave my mom a couple and she says she actually sleeps better and tosses and turns less. Such great stuff. Have a great day Rob!

Nicole ive been using satin pillow cover since couple of months. It made my hairs shiny, and straight. The only problem im having is that my hairs get oily too often. like after couple of days my hairs will have alot of sebum. maybe that is making my hairs shiny and straight? so i wash it with water only (mineral water) then all white sebum comes off. and my hairs are still oily little bit. and when i sleep on satin pillowcase my hairs get shiny and straight again but oily as days goes by. So can u give me any tips for not making more oily? cuz when its oily my hair breaks very often and its kind of greasy. I use 1.5 litre water every month. should i use more? Thanks for reading. my hairs are medium length. just covering neck and ears.

I would use shampoo bars instead of liquid shampoo. I use the Taconic shampoo bar on Amazon. I mix baking soda and tap water in a jug to soak my dry hair, then start washing with the soap. It balances and works great!! I definitely think this will balance your oiliness. Here’s my review: https://www.amazon.com/gp/f.html?C=3EWUX9XMFO3LG&K=A76JNF1RYI1GW&R=U4O6TO3M14YO&T=C&U=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Freview%2FR3EHQYW3R8RW0C%2Fref%3Dpe_1098610_137716200_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rv&A=N6R89IHLGILR88NCLCEUQEDAPXMA&H=ILZ6G7KFNPTKCHRMPR8G7QBSU2MA&ref_=pe_1098610_137716200_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rv

Hi Jadugar, I wash and condition my hair pretty much every day so I'm not sure I can give good advice here. Maybe ask a dermatologist what they recommend. All the best, -Nicole
Brevard Smith (1 year ago)
I just ordered some on Groupon. I hope I don't regret it. What is the best price and best quality you found?
YayOrNayNicole (1 year ago)
Hi Brevard, All of the silk ones that I purchased on Amazon are still fine but since those I have purchased one by Slip Silk and Lelini (new videos out on those on my channel). I feel like both of those are better quality then any that I have tried on Amazon so far. The Lelini is identical to SlipSilk but a bit less expensive and the Lelini ended up being just a bit softer after both were washed many times. I purchased both at the same time. Lelini and Slip Silk are thicker and a bit silkier than the other ones on Amazon. I have never purchased any on Groupon. Let me know how you like them! :)
Aria Seraj (1 year ago)
i was gonna buy one as a mattress case, im wondering if it makes me sweat ?
YayOrNayNicole (1 year ago)
Hi Aria, If you buy silk, it should keep you cooler than cotton. If the sheets are satin, that is not a natural fiber and it may make you sweat more (although it will feel silky). The only thing is, if you have a silk pillowcase and silk sheet, the pillow may slide away from you on the sheet since you will have a slippery surface on another slippery surface. I hope that helps! Have a great day! -Nicole

Molly (2 years ago)
Hi Nicole. Great video. Can I ask how the 19 versus 25 mm have held up over time from fishers? I'm deciding between the two based on your review. :)
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
Hi Molly, so the 19 mm is much thinner and tends not to lie as flat as the thicker 25 mm version. The 19 mm also feels more delicate and like it won't last as long. the 25 mm is also a bit silkier to the touch. I think either are nice but I'd rather have less of the 25 mm cases than more of the 19 mm. Hope that helps. :) Nicole
Samantha (2 years ago)
I was wondering why my back of my hair is so dry and I couldn't figure out what was causing it and I thought it was my hair products but my hair products aren't bad and the ingredients aren't as harmful, but now and I understand. Now I am on my way to get a silk pillow case. :)
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
Hi Samantha, I hope it helps! I really notice a difference if I am away from home and do not bring mine along. Thanks for watching! =)
Satya G (2 years ago)
I like this video. Really informative and most importantly you get straight to the point... no rambling at the beginning. Thanks.

Alees Langford (2 years ago)
It's not a millimeter! The mm stands for momme!
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
+Alees Langford I blew it on that. I actually knew that but the wrong word came out of my mouth and I think I edited this at 2am and I missed it. :(
Renee Robinson (2 years ago)
What are your thoughts on the Meili & Grace anti-aging silk pillowcase?
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
+Renee Robinson Hi Renee, I have seen those anti-aging pillowcases around but have not tried them. I am intrigued though and they are on my list to try at some point. My only hesitation is that I layer a bunch of serums, Retin-A, moisturizer and oil on my face before bed anyway so I wonder if with all that on already, will I get any benefits from the anti-aging pillowcases. Reviews seem mixed and they are rather expensive. Have you tried one?
Susie Altis (2 years ago)
Thanks for the info! Have you noticed any difference between the 19mm and 25mm? I'm looking to buy silk pillowcase (again), I used to have a Spasilk one that I think was 19mm, which was kinda thin and a little slippery. I'm trying to figure out if there's actually a noticeable between the 19mm and the higher 22 or 25mm. Any recommendations?
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
+pixieeyes2006 Hi, I find the 25mm to be much thicker and less slippery than my thinner one. I can totally tell the difference. It feels much more luxurious. Thanks so much for watching! =)
Nick Kobaladze (2 years ago)
mm doesn't mean millimeters when talking about silk it's momme . it's what you use to determine the actual weight or you could say amount of real actual silk in a product.
HelenLuvs2Laugh (2 years ago)
I've bought some, but haven't used them, but I guess I better break them out.
YayOrNayNicole (2 years ago)
+HelenLuvs2Laugh It will be especially good for you with thick curly hair. If you use them let me know if you like them! :)
Taylor Ryan Music (3 years ago)
so, with my research, I've learned that those more "silky" feeling pillowcases aren't actually full silk, and that they are a blend of silk and cotton/polyester. This isn't to say that they aren't helpful, but real silk pillowcases will often cost in the upwards of $70 dollars and have an interesting texture.
YayOrNayNicole (3 years ago)
+Taylor Draper You are right the most slippery ones seem to be the faux silk but the real silk seems to be a finer weave, maybe that is why the texture is different. So nice to have lots of options out there =). Have a great weekend!
Wannella Lawson (3 years ago)
Thanks for the info. Where did you purchased the $9 one? I went to Walmart yesterday purchased a pillow case on the front cover stated silk. When I opened the package, I looked at the label. It was 100% polyester.  What a joke. I am returning it back to the store. Thanks again.
YayOrNayNicole (3 years ago)
+Wannella Lawson Hi Wannella, the $9 one is not silk but works really well. I bought mine online on Amazon. Best prices there for silk or fake silk. I think you have to spend around $30 to get real silk. Have a goo done!
Wannella Lawson (3 years ago)
Great video. Is the $9 one good or bad
YayOrNayNicole (3 years ago)
+Wannella Lawson Hi Wannella, I actually really like the $9 one. The expensive one is a bit thicker with a smoother finish so if it is in your budget to splurge go for it but honestly, I used ones like the $9 one for years and years until I splurged. In any case any of these are SO much better for your hair and skin than cotton or even bamboo. Thank you so much for watching!

Susan W (3 years ago)
I had the same kind of experience you did when I used them so I have never went back, maybe I need to try them again, how do I stop chasing it all over the bed, lol! <3 Susan
YayOrNayNicole (3 years ago)
+Susan W Hi Susan, LOL - so it is not just me! I use my silk pillowcases with cotton sheets. That way they stay put and no chasing at all =). Those old satin sheets are now dust covers in the attic. Thank you so much for watching. <3 Nicole
